Ordered takeout from here. The portion sizes are small, but the food is good! The service was friendly, and the food was ready when they said it would be. I did not eat inside, but it looked clean and there was lots of seating. I ordered the alley cat at the spiciest heat level that they have. Since their chicken is made with dry rubs, I did not find the spice to be too hot at all. It was flavorful, but not overly spicy. Also, on the website it said it was served on a tortilla, but they forgot the tortilla in my order.
Great place to eat. Very clean establishment. Great service and real good hot chicken
Our first time here today and it left an amazing impression. Inside of the restaurant was clean, with an industrial feel. Very thoughtful setup for families with little ones. Welcoming service without it being overwhelming. Their seasoning blends were something special. You could really taste the individual components. Hot level was perfect for me - serious kick but not numbing. Food came out piping hot, and I will definitely ask for some seasoning on top of the fries next time. Ice-cream cones at the end was such a nice touch (they had a mini cone for people like me who initially said no to a frozen treat!). We can't wait to come back!
No pics to add because we ate it too fast. The fries are BOMB best and most crispy fries I've ever had. The seasoning on the chicken is very unique. It is hot but also gives a great sweetness which you don't really find at other chicken joints. Will come again! Staff and owners were great and very friendly
Incredible chicken. So juicy and full of flavor! I had to ask the owner if they air fry the chicken because it wasn't greasy or full of breading. She assured me it goes in a deep fryer- you literally would never guess. It's the perfect amount of heat and sweet with the sauce. I am not a coleslaw fan but my husband was like "omg this coleslaw is soooo good" The "slider" is the size of a regular chicken sandwich. We are still full hours later. So happy we stopped by for a quick lunch.
This place is a hidden gem! Great service, the woman who helped us was very kind and gave us the run down on the menu and the spice levels since we had never been there before. I got the mixed up and my boyfriend got the Rooster and we were both super impressed. The alley sauce on the burger and on the side for the tender is like a honey mustard. Next time I want to try a hotter spice level and get their ranch! We both got sodas and liked the different varieties they offered from Stubborn. The Mac and cheese was pretty good, but the fries with the nacho cheese sauce were sooo good that I'll do that next time. This place was super clean and I liked that they had the to go boxes out if you need them. I ate all my food so sadly no leftovers for me. Give this place a try! We'll definitely be back!
Food was delicious and I'm used to Texas hot chicken which has more options than AZ. Service was fantastic, especially for such a young group, no offense to anyone, but it's reality now days. Ambiance was nice, busy! Didn't know about the soft serve Great job, we'll be back!
I have been meaning to try this place for a while and I stopped by one evening. A large group was inside waiting for their food as well as one or two small groups. One customer was ahead of me so I used their kiosk to order. I got their tender loving meal, which comes with two tenders served on fresh warmed tortillas with pickles, Alley Sauce (honey mustard) and fries. It was easy to order and the owner made sure I had no problems. He also offered me a free drink which was very kind. I made sure to sample their Stubborn sodas (made with cane sugar) and ended up with a mix of their agave vanilla creme soda and their root beer, delicious. Even though the person ahead of me ordered a family meal, my food did not take long to make. While I was waiting, I got some of their cheese sauce to pair with the fries. It comes in a large vat and there are other condiments like ketchup, salt and pepper available. My food was packaged well and I was on my way home to eat it. I had ordered one hot and one x-hot tender and they were labeled with small stickers which I didn't really pay attention to, but was helpful. The tenders were tasty and the x-hot was good but not overly spicy to me. Honestly a nice balance of heat without being overpowering. The fries were plentiful and delicious, and I enjoyed the pickle chips to pair with the chicken. I personally didn't love the tortillas, maybe because I wasn't expecting it, but I'd like to try their sandwich next time instead. I didn't get it this time because it comes with slaw and I'm not a big fan of that. The cheese sauce wasn't what I was expecting either, I was thinking it would be spicy but it was still good. The alley sauce was basically a honey mustard sauce and it was nice, though I probably could've eaten the tenders without any sauce. They were perfectly seasoned and didn't need anything. Overall this was a positive experience and I look forward to coming back again!
My entire experience at Hot Chicken Alley is worthy of 5 stars. First of all, the service was excellent. The girl at the counter was extremely helpful in explaining the menu in detail for us and helping us decide what to order. She checked-in a couple times during the meal and made sure we had everything we needed. Seriously top notch service for a counter service restaurant. Second reason is the food. Omg this chicken was excellent. Fresh, flavorful, and juicy with the right amount of heat. The fries were hot and crispy. Good sized portions as well. You definitely get your moneys worth! My partner and I each got the Mixed Up combo which I highly recommend. You get one of each chicken style, with pickles and sauce. Almost forgot to mention, at the end of your meal is a complimentary ice cream cone to cool off after that hot chicken - what's not to love!
